Ariko bugomba kuturinda gucika intege igihe ibintu bibi bibaye, cyangwa igihe tubona ugutakaza imbonezamuco k’ugize umuryango, inshuti, cyangwa umuyobozi. N’ubwo inkuru ya Yona igaragaza ingaruka z’Ukugwa, nanone ituyobora bikomeye ku Mana ishobora kuturokora muri izo ngaruka. Ukwitanga kwa Yona kugira ngo arokore abo barikumwe mu bwato mu by’ukuri bigaragaza ko yabaye nka Kristo. “Nagize ibyago ntakira Nyagasani … ; Nahamagariye mu nda y’ikuzimu. …

“Kuko wanjugunye mu ndiba, hagati mu nyanja. …

“[Nuko] ndavuga nti, ‘Nciwe mu maso yawe, ariko nzongera kureba [ingoro ntagatifu yawe].

“Amazi yarankikije no ku bugingo, ubujyakuzimu burangota, urumafu rwizingiye ku mutwe wanjye.

“Naramanutse njya mu ndiba y’imisozi; … ariko yankuye mu ngeso mbi. …

“Igihe roho yanjye yacikaga intege … nibutse Nyagasani: isengesho ryanjye ryinjiye … mu ngoro yawe.

“Abibeshya bakiringira ibitagira umumaro, birengagiza impuhwe zabo bwite..

“Ariko jyeweho nzagutambira igitambo n’ijwi ry’ishimwe, kandi nzahigura umuhigo nahize. Agakiza gaturuka kuri Nyagasani”

Nubwo hashize imyaka myinshi, nshobora kukubwira neza aho nari nicaye, n’uko niyumvaga, igihe, ndi mu ndiba y’ibigeragezo bwite, nkabona iki cyanditswe gitagatifu. Ku muntu uwo ariwe wese wiyumva nk’uko niyumvaga icyo gihe, ko wirukanywe, uri kurohama mu ndiba y’amazi, urumafu rwizingiye ku mutwe wawe n’imisozi y’inyanja yakuzengurutse; icyo ngusaba wigira kuri Yona ni uko: utakwirengagiza impuhwe zawe bwite. Twaba duhanganye n’akaga gakomeye nk’aka Yona, cyangwa se ingorane za buri munsi zo muri iyi si yacu idatunganye, ubutumire ni bumwe: ntukirengagize impuhwe zawe bwite.
