The sacrament brings safety and reassurance to my soul
Partaking of the sacrament brings so much joy to my life
Over the years, just like many of you, I have participated in many sacrament meetings. It is not just another meeting but a sacred time between me and the Lord. It is important to come prepared and not be distracted but instead meditate about our Lord’s sacrifice. I have been blessed to feel the impression of a solution to my daily challenges.
I can recall, as a youth, growing up in the church and being able to hold the priesthood; I was able to pass and bless, even prepare the sacrament. It has made me appreciate the love of my Heavenly Father and the atoning sacrifice of my Savior, Jesus Christ. He instituted the sacrament so I could renew my covenants. As I partake of the sacrament every Sabbath day, it brings a sense of safety and reassurance that I am not alone, even though death may come to all of us; I may live in Jesus Christ. Partaking of the sacrament brings so much joy to my life. I have felt a mighty change of heart, and I am reminded that I am a son of my Heavenly Father who is dependent on him.
When I partake of the sacrament, I want to improve; I want to take His name upon me and purge my thoughts and actions in my life during the week to reflect my commitment to Him. There is a power that comes from partaking of the sacrament worthily. I testify that as I prepare myself mentally, emotionally, and spiritually and partake of the sacrament worthily, I can be edified spiritually.
