When most people start high school, they’re happy because it means they’re growing up. But for me, that wasn’t the case at all. My first year of high school was really difficult for me because I hardly knew anyone in my class and I was often all alone. So it was one of the worst times of my life.

I turned to the Lord and prayed every night. And at school, when I wasn’t feeling great because I was alone, I would sit on a bench and pray in my heart that Heavenly Father would help me feel better.

Every time I prayed, I felt the love of the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, and that really helped me. Heavenly Father also answered me by putting people in my path. I met a friend who helped me feel better, and I was able to free myself of the weight I was carrying.

I know there are other people like me, and what I’d like to say to them is that I managed to overcome it. The only thing that got me through it was turning to Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I know that if they do that too, they will feel all the love that Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, have for them.
