Their Story

The Garden

Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden—a beautiful garden where they would experience no pain, hardship, death, or joy. They could also enjoy God’s presence.

The Temptation

Heavenly Father commanded them to have children and to not eat fruit from “the tree of knowledge of good and evil.” Satan tempted Adam and Eve to eat the fruit.

The Choice

Eve and Adam chose to eat the fruit. They would have to leave the garden and God’s presence, go through hardship, and eventually die. But they’d also be able to have joy, keep God’s commandment to have children, and progress toward eternal life.

The Plan

At first, Adam and Eve hid themselves. But learning about Heavenly Father’s plan, they knew that their choice allowed Heavenly Father’s children to come to earth. They learned that Heavenly Father would send Jesus Christ to save them (and us) from our sin and death.

Your Story

Like Adam and Eve, you live in a world of hardship and temptation, and sometimes you might feel like hiding or feel afraid. But because of Jesus Christ, you can repent and change. One day you will be resurrected and can return to live with Him.
