Njengoba itabernekele, nomphongolo ngaphakathi kwalo, kwakumele ukuba khona kwaNkulunkulu ebantwini Bakhe, uJesu Kristu wayemele ukuba khona kwaNkulunkulu ebantwini Bakhe. Njengomphristi omkhulu, uJesu Kristu ungumLamuleli phakathi kwethu noBaba uNkulunkulu. Wadlula esisithweni ukusilamulela ngegazi Lakhe lomnikelo Wakhe.

Okunye okumayelana netabernakele labakwa-Israyeli kungezwakala kukhumbuleka kuwena, ikakhulukazi uma usuyile ethempelini ukuyothola izimiso zakho. Ithempeli liyindlu yeNkosi—indawo Yakhe yokuhlala phakathi kwabantu Bakhe. Njengendawo engcwelengcwele yetabernakele, igumbi lesilestiyali ethempelini limele ukuba khona kwaNkulunkulu. Ukuze singene, kumele siqale sigezwe bese siyagcotshwa. Sigqoka izembatho ezingcwele. Senza izivumelwano. Siyakhuleka kwi-althare lapho imikhuleko yethu ikhuphukela kuNkulunkulu. Bese ekugcineni sidlula isisitho ukuyongena lapho kukhona uNkulunkulu.

Mhlawumbe okubalulekile kakhulu okufanayo phakathi kwamathempeli amanje netabernakele lasemandulo ukuthi kokubili, uma kuqondisiswa ngendlela efanele, kuqinisa ukholo lwethu kuJesu Kristu futhi kusigcwalisa ngokubonga ngomnikelo Wakhe wenhlawulo. UNkulunkulu ufuna bonke abantwana Bakhe bangene babe phambi kwakhe ; Ufuna “umbuso wabaphristi” nabaphristikazi (I-Eksodusi 19:6). Kepha izono zethu ziyasivimba ekutholeni leso sibusiso, ngoba “akukho nto engcolile engahlala noNkulunkulu” (1 Nefi 10:21). Kulolusiko, izimbuzi zazimele uJesu Kristu, ethatha isikhundla sabantu abonile. Isono akumele sivunyelwe lapho kukhona uNkulunkulu. UMsindisi “uthwale izifo zethu, wabetshatha ubuhlungu bethu,” ngisho “ububi bethu sonke” (U-Izaya 53:4, 6). Wama endaweni yethu, wanikela ngempilo Yakhe ukukhokhela inhlawulo yesono, bese wanqoba ukufa ngoVuko Lwakhe. Umnikelo waJesu Kristu “[wawung]umnikelo omkhulu nowokugcina; yebo, hhayi umnikelo womuntu, noma wesilwane” kepha “umnikelo ongenakuphela futhi waphakade” (Alima 34:10). Wayengukufezeka kwakho konke lokho iminikelo yasemandulo yayikukhomba.

UJesu ethwele isiphambano

Cabanga ngalokho akwenzile ukukubuyisela kuNkulunkulu—nalokho ozokwenza ukuze umlandele.
