A Spiritual Shield

Two people in my classroom at school started arguing once. They were swearing at each other a lot. I didn’t like it, but the teacher wasn’t nearby and I couldn’t leave the classroom, so I lowered my head and said a prayer. I asked the Lord to help me ignore them and forget their words.

Right after I finished that prayer, the hall monitor came and broke up the argument. Just like that, I didn’t remember any of the words the kids had said. The Lord took those ugly words out of my mind.

Satan tries to bring us down in many ways, but the Holy Ghost is like a shield against him. So I don’t want to be around anything that pushes the Spirit away. If we have the Spirit with us, the Lord won’t let evil dominate us. Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit are here to protect us.
