Service and the Savior’s Love
When I was 10, my aunt told me about her church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She lives in a different region, so I found a ward in my hometown and was baptized two weeks later. Joining the Church on my own wasn’t difficult for me because my aunt supported me, and my new friends in Young Women welcomed me into the ward.
The way they served me inspires me to serve others. Once, one of my classmates was crying because she didn’t perform well on her end-of-term exam and didn’t know how to tell her parents. I comforted her, telling her to be courageous. She was relieved and thanked me.
Service has strengthened my bond with the Savior and Heavenly Father because it’s showed me how to live the Savior’s teachings of love and compassion. I feel His love when I serve others and when others serve me.
