Things That Never Change
Sometimes life feels like a dark ocean, with waves of change tossing you around, for better or for worse. When friends, schools, or family situations shift and new chapters begin, it may feel exciting—or it may feel overwhelming. Maybe you’re worried because you don’t know where those waves are taking you, but like the sailor who looks to the stars to travel safely home, you too can navigate life’s changes as you look to God and focus on the things that never change.
God never changes. “He is unchangeable from all eternity to all eternity” (Moroni 8:18).
Your worth never changes. “The worth of souls is great in the sight of God” (Doctrine and Covenants 18:10).
Christ’s love and the power of His Atonement never change. “Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8).
When you feel lost on the sea of life, I hope you’ll remember that life changes, but God doesn’t. Your worth doesn’t. Christ doesn’t.
Let these eternal truths be your steady stars above the waves!
