When I was about 10 years old, I had lots of questions about the gospel. Then my uncle told me I shouldn’t focus only on my questions but keep going in faith, and I would feel for myself that God speaks to me.
Soon I was asked to share the lyrics of the hymn “I Believe in Christ” in stake conference. As I did, my voice broke and I felt the Spirit speaking through me. After the conference, I ran and hugged my older brother. I started crying as he said, “You see? Yes, you believe in God.” I got my answers through that hymn. I felt that God and Jesus Christ exist. I had just needed to remind myself.
Don’t stop going to church, no matter how difficult it is. Seek to be close to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ through prayer and scripture study. Always hold fast to the gospel and never forget where you come from.
