You’re Not Alone
Have you ever been asked to do something you didn’t think you could? Maybe you didn’t feel strong enough or smart enough, or you worried that others would laugh at and criticize you. If you’ve ever felt this way, you’re not alone.
Thousands of years ago, there was a man named Enoch. God asked Enoch to preach repentance to the people—some of the most wicked the earth had ever seen.
Enoch didn’t think he could do it. He told God that he was too young, nobody liked him, and he was “slow of speech” (see Moses 6:31).
But God gave Enoch a promise. He told the frightened man, “Go forth and do as I have commanded thee” and “the mountains shall flee before you, and the rivers shall turn from their course; and thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore walk with me” (Moses 6:32, 34).
“Walk with me.” What a simple, beautiful invitation.
God promised Enoch that if he would be brave enough to start, then God would be with him every step of the way. God would make Enoch mighty and strengthen him to do more and help him become more than he could ever imagine.
One of the Savior’s many names is Emmanuel, or “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). It is in the Lord’s name and nature to walk with us. The choice is ours—will we walk with Him, too?
Nowadays, we look to Enoch as a man of faith and a great prophet and leader. But before Enoch the prophet, there was a younger Enoch who doubted himself but still chose to walk with God.
When life is hard, when you don’t feel like you’re enough, remember the Lord’s promise to Enoch, and to you. He will walk with you. He will not leave you alone, not for a single step.
Emmanuel. God with us. God with you!

With His Help, You Can Do All Things
Like you young men, the Lord asked Enoch to fulfill important priesthood responsibilities. His task was to preach repentance to a wicked people. Enoch expressed his doubts. “[I’m] but a lad,” he said. “All the people hate me … I am slow of speech; wherefore am I thy servant?” (Moses 6:31).
The Lord responded with power and reassurance. “Go forth and do as I have commanded thee. … Open thy mouth, and it shall be filled … . My Spirit is upon you … ; the mountains shall flee before you … ; therefore walk with me” (Moses 6:32, 34).
Enoch learned that when the Lord gives us a task, we don’t face it alone. When we make and keep covenants with Christ, we walk with Him and share in His power—we become instruments in His hands.
Like Enoch, you have a vital role: ministering, serving in the temple, administering the sacrament, studying the scriptures, living gospel standards, repenting, preparing for missions, and more. It can feel overwhelming. You may feel inadequate. That’s OK. It’s not about doing it alone. It’s about choosing today—this day and every day—to walk with God.
With His help, you can do all things. He will strengthen, forgive, and enable you beyond your natural ability. He loves you! As the Young Men General Presidency, we love you and look forward to joining you in exploring the inspiring 2026 theme: “Walk with Me.”
