“Why is it important to stay for both hours of church if I already took the sacrament?”

“I think it’s important to show the person teaching the lesson that we care about what they’re saying. They have spent a lot of time preparing, and God has things He wants us to learn in second hour.”

“Even though you’ve already taken the sacrament and renewed your covenants with Heavenly Father, you still need to learn about Jesus Christ’s Atonement. It also teaches us how to manage our time spiritually because we don’t always spend enough time learning and talking about Heavenly Father.”

“We come to church to remember Christ and learn of Him, but we also come to connect. In second hour I learned that no one is perfect; we all have questions, and we can find answers from our teachers, leaders, and fellow class members.”

“I find it easier to learn of Christ when time is set aside for it. It’s harder for me to make that time at home. Without church lessons, I start to forget what’s important and what I value. So even if I’m tired, I stay for second hour to remember why I love being a member of this Church.”

“Part of going to church is being with other people who can support you. The second hour lets you learn about things specifically helpful to people your age. It also gives newer members the chance to meet friends who can set a good example, welcome them, and help them learn.”
