Her Story
The Search
The king of Persia was searching for a new queen. He was impressed by a young woman named Esther and chose her, not knowing that she was a Jew.
The Decree
Later, the king’s adviser made a decree that all the Jews in the kingdom should be killed. As queen, Esther was in a position to help save them, but she was afraid to ask the king to change the decree. Approaching him without an invitation could be punishable by death.
The Fast
Esther asked all the Jews to fast for her, and then she went to the king. He heard her request and spared the lives of her people. Because Esther was faithful and courageous, God was able to use her to save His children.
