Challenges aren’t forever. Even if you’re at a low point, it always can get better.

I play the organ and the piano. I love doing it. This past Christmas, our local congregations had a carol concert with about 1,000 people. I played an opening piece with a complicated arrangement.

I struggled with it while I was practicing, which made me a bit nervous before the concert. But I prayed beforehand to ask God that it would go well and to help my nerves be calm. It worked! I wasn’t totally at ease, but I was in control enough to play it smoothly. In fact, it was the best I’ve ever played that piece.

Looking unto Christ means knowing He helps us in our daily lives. I feel the Spirit the strongest through music, so getting up and playing the organ in front of everyone and hearing hundreds of people singing all united was a strong feeling. Knowing that you’ve helped someone else feel the Spirit can help you yourself feel the Spirit.
