Come, Follow Me
The Passover
Moses went to Pharaoh and asked him to free the Israelite slaves. Pharoah refused. The Lord sent plagues to Egypt, but Pharoah still said no.
The Lord said He would send one last plague. The firstborn child of every family in Egypt would die. But if the Israelites followed His instructions, the plague would pass over them.
The Lord told the Israelites to sacrifice a perfect male lamb and paint the blood of the lamb above their doors.
The plague came. All the Egyptian firstborn died, including Pharaoh’s son. But the Israelite firstborn were saved because they obeyed the Lord.
Pharaoh told Moses and the Israelites to leave Egypt. But Pharaoh was angry. He and his army chased after them.
The Israelites camped at the Red Sea. When they saw the Egyptians coming, they were afraid. Moses said the Lord would protect them.
Moses lifted his rod, and the Lord parted the sea. The Israelites crossed on dry ground.
When the Israelites were safe on the other side of the sea, the water came down and drowned the army. The Israelites were free at last.
