Song:Come, Listen to a Prophet’s Voice” (Hymns, no. 21)

Scripture: Exodus 8:1–6

Activity: The Pharaoh didn’t listen to Moses the prophet, which means he also wasn’t listening to God. So God sent plagues to try to humble him to listen. One of the plagues he sent was frogs. There were frogs everywhere! On the next page, try to find the people hiding from the frogs. Take turns timing yourself to see who can do the activity the fastest. How do you follow the prophet?

Song:Follow the Prophet,” verse 5 (Children’s Songbook, 110)

Scripture: Exodus 14:5–22

Activity: Make a craft to remind you that God helped Moses part the Red Sea so the Israelites could cross on dry ground. Cut a blue piece of paper in half the long way. On the long edge of each blue strip, cut slits 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide all the way down. Glue both blue strips onto another piece of paper so the edge with the cuts are on the inside. Now take a pencil and roll up the cut strips of paper so that they curl like waves! Last, turn to page 49. Cut out and glue Moses and the Israelites into the middle of the paper.
