Izgubljena ovca

A shepherd looks after his flock of 100 sheep - ch.35-4

Dobri pastir je imel sto ovc. Ena od njih se je izgubila.

The shepherd leaves the 99 other sheep and looks for the lost sheep - ch.35-5

Pastir je pustil devetindevetdeset ovc, da je šel iskat izgubljeno. Ko jo je našel, je bil zelo vesel.

The shepherd carries the sheep home on his shoulders and invites his neighbors to rejoice with him - ch.35-6

Pastir je ovco odnesel domov. Poklical je vse prijatelje in sosede, naj pridejo in se z njim veselijo. Našel je izgubljeno ovco.

Jesus Christ explains that sinners are like the lost sheep and there will be joy in heaven if a sinner repents - ch.35-7

Jezus Kristus je farizejem povedal pomen prilike. Rekel je, da so tisti, ki grešijo, kakor izgubljena ovca.

Jesus explains that just as the shepherd wanted to save the lost sheep He wants to save sinners - ch.35-8

Prav kakor je pastir hotel rešiti izgubljeno ovco, tudi Jezus želi rešiti tiste, ki grešijo.

Jesus tells the Pharisees that that is why He was talking with sinners - ch.35-10

Jezus je rekel, da je zato govoril z grešniki.

Just as the shepherd was happy to find his sheep, Jesus is happy when sinners repent - ch.35-9

Prav kakor je bil pastir zelo srečen, ko je izgubljeno ovco našel, je tudi Jezus zelo srečen, če se pokesamo.
