Bheka kuNkulunkulu futhi Uphile

Kungenzeka kuphela ngokubheka kuNkulunkulu ukuthi umuntu ngamunye, imindeni, ngisho nezizwe ziqhakaze.

Ngenyanga kaJuni edlule, kwenzeka ingozi embi ezweni labeSuthu ngaseNingizimu ne-Afrika. UJesu Kristu ungu ‘mqalisi nomphelelisi wokukholwa kwethu’ [KumaHeberu 12:2]. Ungabheki kwenye indawo, kodwa bheka Kuye.”

Bheka Kuye. Amazwi akhe enanela iseluleko sika-Alima kwindodana yakhe uHelamani: “Bona ukuthi ubheka kuNkulunkulu futhi uphile.” U-Alima walandisa ngalokho uLehi nabantu bakhe abakuzwa nabakubona ngeLiyahona njengokufana: “Kulula ukuthi ulinake izwi likaKristu, eliyokukhombisa indlela eqondile eya entokozweni yaphakade, njengoba kwakunjalo kobaba bethu ukuthi bayinake lenkombandlela, eyayibakhombisa indlela eqondile eya ezweni lesethembiso.” U-Alima wathi: “Uma babe ngabheka babe ngaphila. … Futhi uma singa … bheka singaphila ingunaphakade.”

Kwesinye isikhathi, u-Alima walandisa ngesibonelo senyoka yethusi eyaphakanyiswa nguMose lapho abakwa-Israyeli basemandulo babehlushwa yizinyoka ezinesihlungu. INkosi yatshela uMose ukuthi enze isithombe senyoka asiphakamise ensikeni, nesethembiso sokuthi “yilowo nalowo olunywayo, lapho eyibheka, uyakusinda.” U-Alima wachaza ukuthi isithombe sethusi kwakuyisifanekiso noma uphawu lukaKristu, owayezophakanyiswa esiphambanweni. Baningi ababheka futhi baphila, kodwa abanye, ngamazwi ka-Alima, “babelukhuni kakhulu” kangangokuthi babengezukubheka nhlobo futhi babhubha.

U-Alima wabuza wathi:

“Uma beningaphiliswa ngokubheka nje ngamehlo enu ukuze niphile, beningena kubheka ngokushesha na, noma beningancamela ukuqinisa izinhliziyo zenu ngokungakholwa na, futhi nivilaphe, ukuthi ningabheki ngamehlo enu, ukuze nife na?

“… Phonsani amehlo enu futhi niqale ukukholwa eNdodaneni kaNkulunkulu, ukuthi izofika izokhulula abantu bayo, futhi nokuthi iyohlupheka futhi ife ukuze ihlawulele izono zabo; futhi nokuthi iyophinda ivuke kwabafileyo, okuyofeza uvuko, ukuze bonke abantu bame phambi kwayo, ukuze behlulelwe ngosuku lokugcina kanye nolokwahlulelwa, ngokwemisebenzi yabo.”

Nakanjani, iseluleko “bheka kuNkulunkulu futhi uphile” asisho kithi lokho kwaphakade kuphela kodwa futhi senza umehluko omkhulu ngokuphathelene nobunjani bezimpilo zethu zasemhlabeni. Khumbula amazwi entombazane uDade Selebeli kwelabeSuthu asephathiwe— “uJesu Kristu uyasithanda futhi unathi, ngisho noma izinhliziyo zethu zibuhlungu.”

Kuyimvelo yomhlaba owileyo—lapho udeveli ebusa khona futhi nalapho wonke umuntu enamaphutha—ukuthi kuzoba khona ukudumala nezikhubekiso, ukuzwa ubuhlungu nosizi, ukwehluleka nokulahlekelwa, ukuhlushwa nokwenza okungalungile. Kungenzeka kuphela ngokubheka kuNkulunkulu ukuthi umuntu ngamunye, imindeni, ngisho nezizwe ziqhakaze. UMongameli Russell M. Nelson wafundisa wathi: “Ngoba uMsindisi, ngeNhlawulo Yakhe engapheliyo, wasihlenga ngamunye ebuthakathakeni, emaphutheni, nasesonweni, nanjengoba ezwa bonke ubuhlungu, nezinkathazo nemithwalo yonke enake nayithwala, [Alima 7:11–13], ngakho-ke ngesikhathi uphenduka ngokweqiniso futhi ufuna usizo Lwakhe, ungawunqoba lomhlaba onobungozi.”

Asikho isethembiso esiphindaphindwe kaningi eNcwadini kaMormoni kunalesi: “Kangangoba niyoyigcina imiyalelo yami niyophumelela ezweni; kodwa kangangoba ningezukuyigcina imiyalelo yami niyohlukaniswa nami.” Okubonwe ngabantu eNcwadini kaMormoni ezimpilweni zabo emakhulwini eminyaka kuyalibonisa iqiniso lalamazwi. “Ukuphumelela” kwakusho ukuthokozela ukuholwa nezibusiso zasezulwini ezimpilweni zabo. “Ukuphumelela” kusho ukuzuza ukunethezeka ngokunotha okwakubavumela ukuba bashade, bakhulise imindeni, nokufeza izidingo zabanye. “Ukuphumelela” kubalwa kukho nokukwazi ukudlula ebunzimeni nezivivinyo. Ngomusa kaKristu, “konke [kwa]sebenzelana [kwaba]ngokuhle [kubo],” bahlanzwa, futhi bajuliswa ubudlelwano babo Naye.

U-Alima wachaza ukuthi ukubheka kuNkulunkulu wukugcina imiyalelo Yakhe, ukukhala Kuye njalo ukuze usekelwe Nguye, ukubonisana Naye kukho konke ukwenza kwakho, futhi inhliziyo yakho mayigcwale ukuMbonga ubusuku nemini. Imiyalelo nezeluleko zikaNkulunkulu zitholakala emibhalweni engcwele nakumazwi ezinceku Zakhe. “Umndeni: Isaziso eMhlabeni Wonke” yisibonelo esihle kakhulu salemiyalelo. Esinye isibonelo umhlahlandlela otholakala kwincwajana For the Strength of Youth (Okwakha Intsha). Isiqubulo sabaFana namaNtombazane salonyaka sithi “Bheka kuKristu,” esithathelwe emazwini enduduzo kuJoseph Smith no-Oliver Cowdery: “Bhekani kimi ngayo yonke imicanango yenu, ningangabazi, ningesabi.” Okwakha iNtsha kukhuluma ngemiyalelo nemigomo embalwa kaNkulunkulu ejahekile futhi kufundisa ngokuthi ubheka kanjani eNkosini lapho wenza izinqumo ezinhle. Kungumhlahlandlela okungewona owentsha kuphela kodwa ongowethu sonke.

Njengesibonelo esibaluleke kakhulu, Okwakha iNtsha kunomhlahlandlela kwisahluko esibizwa ngokuthi “Umzimba Wakho uNgcwele.” Sifundisa ukuthi: “Phatha umzimba wakho—nemizimba yabanye—ngenhlonipho. Ngesikhathi wenza izinqumo ngezokugqoka, ngezinwele, nokubukeka kwakho, zibuze ukuthi, ‘Ngabe ngiyawuhlonipha yini umzimba wami njengesipho esingcwele esivela kuNkulunkulu?’”

Okwakha iNtsha kuphinde kuthi: “Gcina ucansi nemizwa yocansi ingcwele. Akufanele kube yinto yamahlaya noma yokuzilibazisa. Ngaphandle kwasemshadweni phakathi kwendoda nowesifazane, akulungile ukuthinta izitho zangasese, ezingcwele zomunye umuntu ngisho egqokile. Lapho ukhetha ozokwenza, ozokubuka, ozokufunda, ozokulalela, okucabangayo, ozokubhala, kugweme konke okuhlose ukuvusa imizwa yenkanuko kwabanye nakuwe.”

Lokhu kungikhumbuza isexwayiso sakamuva nje sikaMongameli Nelson:

“Zimbalwa izinto ezizokwenza impilo yakho ibe nzima ngokushesha ukwedlula ukwephula lo mthetho [wobumsulwa]. Kulabo abenze izivumelwano noNkulunkulu, ukuziphatha kabi kungenye yezindlela ezisheshayo zokulahlekelwa ubufakazi bakho.

Amandla okudala impilo yilungelo elilodwa lobunkulunkulu uBaba oseZulwini avumela abantwana Bakhe basemhlabeni ukuba balisebenzise. Ngakho-ke, uNkulunkulu wabeka imihlahlandlela ecacileyo yokusetshenziswa kwala mandla aphilayo, kaNkulunkulu. Ukusondelana ngokomzimba kwenzelwe indoda nowesifazane abashadile kuphela.

“Iningi labantu alikukholelwa lokhu, kodwa umbono womphakathi akusiye umlamuli weqiniso. INkosi isisho nokusho ukuthi akekho umuntu ongemsulwa ozozuza umbuso wesilestiyali. … Uma ubungemsulwa, ngiyakunxusa ukuba uphenduke. Woza kuKristu uthole isethembiso Sakhe sokuxolelwa okuphelele ngesikhathi uphenduka ezonweni zakho ngokugcwele [bheka ku Isaya 1:16–18; IMfundiso neziVumelwano 58:42–43].”

Khumbula ukuthi kwisethembiso seNcwadi kaMormoni, okuphikisana nokuphumelela kwakungekona ubumpofu—kwakungukwahlukaniswa neNkosi. Ukuba Naye kusho ithonya likaMoya Wakhe empilweni yomuntu. Bonke bagcwele ukukhanya kukaKristu ngesikhathi beza emhlabeni. Phezu kwalokho, abanye bathatha isinyathelo sokubhabhadiswa bemukele isipho nokukhanya okwengeziwe kukaMoya oyiNgcwele. Uletha ugqozi nomhlahlandlela, akhulise futhi acolisise izipho namakhono, futhi alekelele ukugwema imithelela emibi, izinqumo ezimbi, nezindlela ezingayi lapho okufanelekile khona.

Njengawe, ngazi othile owake wathokozela isipho sikaMoya oyiNgcwele kodwa ngokwehluleka ukugcina imiyalelo kaNkulunkulu oselahlekelwe yileso sibusiso. Ikakhulu ngikhumbula othile ubulungu bakhe eBandleni obase buhoxisiwe ngenxa yesiphambeko. Wathi ukuphendula kwakhe okokuqala kwaba ukuzizwa oniwe. Wazizwa ehlulelwe ngabaholi abanamaphutha. Wayazi ukuthi ukuziphatha kwakhe kwakungalungile, kodwa wanika incazelo yalokho ngokukhomba amaphutha nokwehluleka kwabanye. Emva kwesikhathi, waqala ukuzizwa enethezekile endleleni yokuphila ngaphandle kwaseSontweni kungekho zibopho zobizo nokulindeleka ukuba aye enkonzweni futhi asize nabanye.

Lokhu kwaqhubeka isikhathi, kodwa waqala ukukuzwa kakhulu ukungabi bikho kukaMoya oNgcwele—ukuba khona kukaNkulunkulu—empilweni yakhe. Ngenxa yokuzizwela yena, wayesazi ukuthi kwakunjani ukuba nenduduzo, umhlahlandlela, kanye nokuzethemba okulethwa ngoMoya, futhi wayesekukhumbula lokho. Ekugcineni, wenza lokho okwakudingeka ukuba aphenduke afaneleke futhi ukubhabhadiswa ngamanzi nangoMoya.

Kubonakala sengathi akukho ukuphela kwemithombo eyahlukene lapho abantu befuna khona incazelo, injabulo, kanye nosizo. Abaningi “babuka ngale komgomo.” Kodwa akudingeki sibe “yizingane, sishikunyiswa okwamaza, sipheshulwa yimimoya yonke yezimfundiso [noma imikhuba].” Ngokubheka kuNkulunkulu, singathola ukuthula ebunzimeni, futhi nokholo lwethu lungaqhubeka nokukhula ngisho nasezikhathini zokungabaza nokuvivinywa ngokomoya. Singawathola amandla lapho sibhekene nokuphikiswa nokwehlukaniswa nabanye. Singaletha ukubuyisana phakathi kokufiswa yinhliziyo nokukhona ngempela. Ngempela, ayikho enye indlela kunalokho uNkulunkulu uQobo Lwakhe asekushilo: “Phendukelani kimi, nisindiswe, nonke nina-majukujuku omhlaba, ngokuba nginguNkulunkulu, akakho omunye.”

Ukubheka kuNkulunkulu kusho ukuthi akakona nje okunye okubalulekile kithi; kodwa kusho ukuthi Yena ungobaluleke kakhulu kithi. Ngiyanikhumbuza futhi ngalokho kushayisana okubi kakhulu kwelabeSuthu ngenyanga kaJuni eyedlule. Esembhedeni wakhe wasesibhedlela, omunye wabaholi bamaNtombazane owasinda, owayengakholwa kuNkulunkulu ngaphambi kokujoyina iBandla, wathi enye yezinhloso zakhe manje kwakuwukuthola ukuthi kungani impilo yakhe yasindiswa. Wathi: “Ngokuhlezi ngisebenzela uNkulunkulu ngizoyithola kanjalo impendulo, uma ngizofika empendulweni.” “Ngangijwayele ukucabanga ukuthi ngiyamthanda uNkulunkulu, kodwa manje ngempela, ngempela, ngempela, ngempela, ngempela ngiyamthanda. Manje use [yinto yokuqala] ebalulekile empilweni yami.”

Ngiyafakaza ngoBaba, iNdodana, kanye noMoya oNgcwele, abahlangene ngokungenaphutha ngezwi, ngomcabango, ngenhloso, nangokwenza abanguNkulunkulu munye, esingabheka kuye ukuzuza konke okuhle. Ngiyafakaza ngeNhlawulo kaJesu Kristu, lapho okuvela khona amandla okufeza lesi sethembiso esimangalisayo: “Bhekani kimi, futhi nibekezele kuze kube sekugcineni, futhi niyophila, ngokuba lowo oyobekezela kuze kube sekugcineni, ngiyomnika ukuphila okuphakade.” Egameni likaJesu Kristu, amen.
