Learning and Growing
We came to earth so we could learn and grow and become like Heavenly Father one day (see Moses 1:39). Sometimes we make choices that we don’t feel proud of. When we sin or make a mistake, it’s a chance for us to turn to Jesus Christ.
You can always grow and try again when you make a mistake or bad choice. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love you perfectly and can always help you!
Everyone Can Repent
Choosing to do something you know is against God’s commandments is a sin. Heavenly Father knew we would all sin and make bad choices. That’s why He sent His Son, Jesus Christ. Because of Him, we can repent, feel His love, and make better choices (see Enos 1:5–6). Remember, the Lord has promised, “He who has repented of his sins, the same is forgiven, and I, the Lord, remember them no more” (Doctrine and Covenants 58:42).
Learning from Mistakes
Mistakes are something you do by accident. Sometimes mistakes can make you feel sad or embarrassed. But we don’t need to focus on our mistakes! We can learn from them and let them go. Jesus Christ can help us with these too.
