Hello from Taiwan!

In Taiwan it is common in schools and in offices to take a nap after lunch.

The plum blossom became an official symbol of Taiwan in 1964. They chose it because it blooms even during the winter.

Taipei 101 is the tallest building in Taiwan. It has a really fast elevator that takes only 37 seconds to go from the 5th floor to the 89th.

More than half of Taiwan is covered in mountains. There are also several volcanoes, but they haven’t erupted for hundreds of years.

The world’s longest-lasting rainbow happened in Taiwan. People could see it for almost nine hours!

Taiwan’s Lantern Festival is a symbol of hope, joy, and unity. During this large festival, people make lanterns and send them into the sky.
