My Great-Grandmother’s Example
Adapted from “Simple Is the Doctrine of Jesus Christ,” Liahona, Nov. 2024, 96–99.
My great-grandmother Mary Bommeli was devoted to sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Her family was taught by missionaries in Switzerland when she was 24.
After her baptism, Mary moved to Germany. She found she could not keep from sharing the things she had learned. People gathered around to hear her teach as she wove cloth.
Mary spoke of the Book of Mormon and Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ’s visit to Joseph Smith. She taught about the Resurrection. She testified that families can be together forever.
Teaching Heavenly Father’s children about Jesus Christ is a sacred work. As we teach these principles to those we love, the Holy Ghost will help us to know the truth.
