Teachings of Church Leaders
Overview
As evidence of His compassion for us, the Lord sends His messengers to counsel and warn His people (see 2 Chronicles 36:15). We can receive personal revelation from the Lord through the voice of His servants. As we listen to and study the messages of His servants, we can hear the Lord’s voice. These lessons can help students study the Lord’s messages given by His servants.
Prepare to teach
The following information provides you with ideas of what you may need to prepare for each lesson.

Studying the Messages of the Lord’s Servants
Pacing suggestion: Consider teaching this lesson before teaching messages of Church leaders that use “Lesson 207: Template: Teachings of Church Leaders.” You could teach it near the beginning of the school year to introduce students to the importance of studying the messages of Church leaders.
Lesson purpose: This lesson can help students include studying the Lord’s messages given by His servants as part of their personal gospel learning.
-
Student preparation: Invite students to think about some of the blessings they have received as they have studied recent messages from Church leaders. They may also want to ask a family member or local Church leader for blessings they have experienced. They will have an opportunity during class to share these blessings.

Lesson purpose: This template is intended to be used as a tool to help you teach messages from leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
-

Invite students to prayerfully prepare their hearts for the Holy Ghost to teach them as they study messages of the servants of Jesus Christ.
