The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has grown steadily in Mongolia since senior missionary couples first arrived in 1992. The first converts in Mongolia were baptized in 1993, and the first branch was organized that same year. In 1995, the first mission was established. Today, the Church in Mongolia has:

  • 12,400 members (approximately)

  • 2 stakes, 24 wards and branches, 1 mission

  • 1 temple (to be built in Ulaanbaatar)

Spiritual Blessings

Munkh-Od Altansukh (above, right) from the Ulaanbaatar East Stake says, “I gain invaluable spiritual experiences through various acts like scripture study, service to others, and temple worship. I know that the small and simple things of the gospel practiced regularly will help us progress toward exaltation as a family.”
