So You’ve Been Baptized. Now What?

Remember when you received the gift of the Holy Ghost after your baptism? Now He can always be with you as you choose the right. The Holy Ghost often communicates with us through thoughts and feelings. Listening to the Holy Ghost will help you make good choices and find true joy.

Think About It: When was a time you felt the Holy Ghost? It can be a big experience or a small one!

When Jesus Christ atoned for our sins, He made it possible for all of us to repent. Repentance means turning away from wrong choices and turning toward Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They are so happy when we choose to repent because it helps us grow closer to Them.

Think About It: What is one thing you can do that will help you turn toward Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ?

After your baptism, the sacrament is even more special. Now when you take the sacrament, you are renewing the covenant you made at baptism to keep the commandments and follow Jesus Christ. When you don’t keep these promises perfectly, the sacrament is a weekly reminder that because of Jesus Christ, we can repent and be forgiven.

The temple is God’s holy house. The year you turn 12, you can go to the temple and help others by performing baptisms for the dead. Later, you can make more covenants of your own with Heavenly Father. What you learn in the temple will help you become more like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ!
