Mouse Tale

A little furry gray field mouse

Is living somewhere in our house.

At night, when we are safe in bed,

He nibbles on our cheese and bread.

Last night I got up, oh so sly,

And saw him eating apple pie.

He glared at me as if to say,

“I wish that you would go away!”

Do you suppose that little mouse

Thinks we are living in his house?
