Unto the Least of These: Olivas Aoy’s School

Before becoming a Mormon in 1880, Olivas Aoy had lived among the Maya and with freed American slaves. After his conversion, he helped translate the Book of Mormon into Spanish and founded El Paso’s first school for Spanish speakers.
