UBawo waseZulwini uFuna uKuthetha Nawe

UYesu wafundisa, “Celani, nophiwa; funani, nofumana; nkqonkqozani, novulelwa” (UMateyu 7:7). “Xa sukuba uthandaza, … [thandaza] kuYihlo … emfihlekweni” (UMateyu 6:6). “Thandazani ngoko nina nenjenje: Bawo wethu osemazulwini, malingcwaliswe igama lakho” (UMateyu 6:9).

UYesu waqhubekeka ukuthandaza kuYise “Waphuma wasinga entabeni esiya kuthandaza, [wa]budlulisa ubusuku bonke ngokuthandaza kuThixo” (ULuka 6:12). “[Kwaye] … wemka waya kuthandaza entabeni” (UMarko 6:46). “Bafika kumhlaba ogama liyiGetsemane: athi kubafunda bakhe, Hlalani phanti apha, ndikhe ndithandaze” (UMarko 14:32). Ngelixa esemnqamlezweni, uYesu wathandazela amajoni awayemxhome Yena kumnqamlezo: “Bawo, baxolele; kuba abayazi into abayenzayo” (ULuka 23:34).

Izibhalo ziyasifundisa ukuze “[ng]amaxesha onke [sikhunge]” (ULuka 21:36; 2 Nifayi 32:9; 3 Nifayi 18:15; IMfundiso neMinqophiso 10:5; 19:38; 20:33; 31:12). “Cebisana neNkosi kuzo zonke izenzo zakho, kwaye iya kukhokelela kokulungileyo” (Alma 37:37). UNifayi wathi, “kuba ukuba beniya kuphulaphula kuwo uMoya othi umfundise umntu ukuthandaza, beniya kukwazi ukuba kufuneka nithandaze; kuba umoya ongcolileyo awumfundisi umntu ukuba athandaze, kodwa umfundisa ukuba akufuneki athandaze.” (2 Nifayi 32:8).

Ngomzekelo woMsindisi wethu nengcebiso yeengelosi nabaprofeti kwiinkulungwane, siyazi ngokucacileyo ukuthandaza mihla le ukuvakalisa umbulelo ngeentsikelelo zethu, kwaye nokugcina umthandazo ezintliziyweni zethu rhoqo. Thina sinoxanduva lokunxibelelana noBawo wethu.

Kodwa okona kuzuke ngakumbi kunoko koku, uBawo wethu waseZulwini uyayiphendula imithandazo yethu. Umbuzo ocingisisiweyo kwelihlabathi sifa kulo ngulo, singazifumana ngcono njani na kwaye siziqiqele iimpendulo, umkhomba-ndlela, nentuthuzelo evela kuBawo wethu?

Ngobu bomi bam obuminyaka ingentla kwamashumi asixhenxe, ndiyazi ukuba uBawo wethu uthetha nathi. Thina asisodwanga. Izithunywa zezulu zisibeke iliso elibukhali kwaye ziyasinceda njengoko sifuna ukulandela uMsindisi.

Ukufumana iimpendulo kwimithandazo yethu kuqala ngokholo lwethu kuBawo waseZulwini nakuNyana waKhe, uYesu Krestu. UYesu wathi, “Musa ukoyika, kholwa kodwa wena” (Marko 5:36). Sithembela kuYe, senza konke okusemandleni ethu ukugcina imiyalelo, kwaye sijonge isandla saKhe kwizinto zonke. “Akukho nto umntu athi akhathaze uThixo ngayo … ngaphandle kwabo bangasivumiyo isandla sakhe kwizinto zonke, baze bangayithobeli imiyalelo yakhe” (IMfundiso neMinqophiso 59:21).

Isandla sikaThixo kubomi bethu asithethi ukuba Yena ubangela okungendawo okanye iintlekele ezimbi ezikwihlabathi lethu. Nangona kunjalo, ithetha ukuba ngamaxesha akho obunzima nawomkhethe, Yena uyakuma ngakuwe, omeleze oko unokwazi ukukwenza, akuthuthuzele, kwaye “uya kuzingcwalisa iimbandezelo zakho zibe yinzuzo kuwe” (2 Nifayi 2:2).

UMongameli Boyd K. Packer (1924–2015), uMongameli weQumrhu labaPostile Abalishumi Elinambini, wafundisa ngelizolileyo, elincinane ilizwi xa wayebalisa ngamava kaJohn Burroughs, ongothanjelwa zizinto ngokwemvelo, njengoko wayehamba nabahlobo kwipaki enesihlwele. Nanga amazwi kaMongameli Packer:

“Ngaphezu kwezandi zobomi besixeko [uMnu. Burroughs] weva ingoma yentaka.

Imfundiso kaMongameli Packer ngoMoya oyiNgcwele yenzeka ngowama-1979, ixesha apho ubomi babuthe cwaka ngakumbi nengxolo yehlabathi yayidambe ngaphezulu kakhulu kunokuba injalo ngoku.

UMongameli Nelson wafundisa, “Ukuba uzinika ingqalelo ngokungakumbi izinto ezikumaqonga onxibelelwano ngaphezu koko kusetyezwa nguMoya, uyakuba ke uzibeka kumngcipheko wokwasemoyeni.”

UMongameli Faust wathi, “Ukuba kumele siphulaphule ilizwi loMoya, nathi kumele sivule iindlebe, siguqulele iliso lethu lokholo kwintsusa yelizwi, kwaye sijonge ezulwini ngokungagungqiyo.”

Eli lizwi loMoya liza kuzo zizombini iimvakalelo kunye nengqondo zethu. “Ndiya kukuxelela engqondweni yakho nasentliziyweni yakho, ngoMoya oyiNgcwele, oya kuza phezu kwakho kwaye oya kuhlala entliziyweni yakho” (IMfundiso neMinqophiso 8:2). Mamela kwisazela sakho—isityhilelo rhoqo siqala phaya.

Iimpendulo nokukhanyiselwa azinakunyanzelwa. Thina sithandaza size silinde ngentliziyo ekholelwayo. Ezinye iimpendulo azizokufika kobu bomi, kodwa kwabo bangamalungisa, iNkosi iyakusoloko ithumela uxolo lwaYo (bona UYohane 14:27). Iimpendulo ngokukanintsi ziza xa sithandazela ukunceda abo basingqongileyo. Maxa wambi, zifika “umgca phezu komgca, umyalelo phezu komyalelo” (IMfundiso neMinqophiso 98:12).

Ilizwi lezulu lingeza kuthi ngamaxesha angalindelekanga nakwiindawo ezingalindelekanga, kodwa sifumana awona mathuba aqaphelekayo kwiindawo ezizolileyo nakwiindawo ezingcwalisekileyo. Kwinzolo yemithandazo yam yakusasa nokucinga nzulu, ndifumana iintsikelelo ezingaqhelekanga. Ufundo lwemihla ngemihla, lobuqu, olungaphazamisekiyo lwezibhalo, ngeli lixa luqhelekile ngamanye amaxesha, luzisa ilizwi loMoya ezintliziyweni zethu njengomlilo ngamanye amaxesha.

Ngamaxa athile, ukhanyiselo luvela koko sikufundayo, kwaye ngamanye amaxesha, oko sicinga nzulu ngako kuzisa impendulo kumbandela owahlukileyo. Khumbula amazwi kaMdala Robert D. Hales: “Xa sifuna ukuthetha noThixo, siyathandaza. Ze xa sifuna Yena athethe nathi, siphengulula izibhalo.”

Njengoko ingxolo neziphazamiso zehlabathi zisijikeleza, iNkosi iyalele umprofeti wayo ukuba akhe iitempile ezininzi ngakumbi. Kwezi zindlu zingcwele zeNkosi, njengokuba sishiya imingeni yethu ngaphandle kodwa singena nemithandazo yethu neenkxalabo zethu, sifundiswa iinyaniso zanaphakade.

Kunyaka odlulileyo, uMongameli Nelson wasinika esisithembiso sincamisayo: “Bazalwane noodade bam abathandekayo, nasi isithembiso sam. Akukho nto iya kukunceda ngakumbi ukuba ubambelele kwintonga yesinyithi kunokunqula etempileni rhoqo kangangoko iimeko zakho zikuvumela. Akukho nto iyaku khusela ngakumbi njengokuba udibana neenkungu zobumnyama zehlabathi. Akukho nto iyakomeleza ubungqina bakho beNkosi uYesu Krestu neNtlawulelo yaKhe okanye ikuncede uqonde icebo elimangalisayo likaThixo ngakumbi. Akukho nto iya kuwuthomalalisa umoya wakho ngakumbi ngamaxesha entlungu. Akukho nto iya kuvula amazulu ngakumbi. Akukho nto!”

Inkomfa yajikelele nganye iza neentsikekelelo ezongezelelweyo ezininzi. Kwinyanga ezayo kaTshazimpunzi, kwakhona, sizakuhlangana kwinkomfa yajikelele ukuze sive ilizwi leNkosi. Siza kwinkomfa yajikelele sithandazile kwaye sizilungiselele. Kumntu ngamnye kuthi, kukho iinkxalabo ezicinezelayo kwanemibuzo esulungekileyo. Thina siza ukuze sihlaziye ukholo lwethu kuMsindisi, uYesu Krestu, nokomeleza amandla wethu wokuxhathisa kwisihendo. Siyeza ukuze sifundiswe okuvela phezulu. Mna ndiyakuthembisa ukuba njengoko uzilungiselela kwaye usiza ngomthandazo kwiiseshoni zenkomfa yajikelele, uzakuziva iimpendulo kwiinkxalabo zakho, kwaye uyakukwazi okokuba “isandla sezulu” siphezu kwakho.

Yiba nokholo lokuba uBawo waseZulwini uthetha nawe. Yena uthetha nawe! Luvumele ukholo lwakho kuYe nakuNyana waKhe oyiNtanda likuncede uwohlule kubini umkhusane kwaye ulamkele ilizwi likaBawo. Mna ndiyangqina ukuba ukhona kwaye ukuthanda ngaphezu kokuba amazwi enokutsho.
