Missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints first arrived in Ecuador in October 1965, and the first converts were baptized at the end of that month. A branch was organized in 1966, and the first stake was organized in 1978. Church members in Ecuador have served each other and their communities in response to natural disasters and other challenges. Today, the Church in Ecuador has:
