My Gospel Words
Look for these words and phrases in this issue of the Friend!
Word of Wisdom
The Word of Wisdom is a guide for taking care of our body and spirit. You can read it in Doctrine and Covenants 89. It teaches us to make healthy choices and promises blessings when we obey.
Temple Dedication
After a temple is finished, a special meeting happens called a temple dedication. A prophet or apostle says a prayer that makes the temple a holy building. After the dedication, ordinances can be done inside to help with God’s work.
Integrity
Integrity means doing what is right even when no one is watching. Integrity helps us become more like Jesus Christ.
Groundbreaking Ceremony
A groundbreaking ceremony is an event to celebrate the beginning of a building project. The Church often has groundbreaking ceremonies for temples and church buildings.
