The Growing Word

I’m not as tall as John is,

nor even Mary Jo.

The fact is, I am shorter

than most kids whom I know.

Neighbors whisper words such

as “tiny,” “little,” “small.”

But today while I worked with my dad,

He said, “Good!”And I felt tall.
