Butterfly

By H. T. Cozine

Butterfly, butterfly, flutter by my nose.

Stop and rest a little while on the garden hose.

Wash your face in dewdrops on the buttercup.

Butterfly, butterfly, gently flutter up.

Flutter, flutter, butterfly, float along the breeze,

Now among the dandelions, now above the trees.

Like a tiny rainbow dancing in the rain,

Butterfly, butterfly, hurry home again.
