Sand Castle

By Lois Leurgans

Where ocean comes to meet the land

And washes all the white, white sand,

I shaped with care

A castle fair

With turrets fit for Fairyland.

The tide came in to meet the land

And covered up my work of sand;

So now bright fish,

With silver swish,

May swim and float through Fairyland.
