James A. Garfield National Historic Site
James A. Garfield, the 20th president of the United States, spent most of his life in northeast Ohio. In the summer of 1880, from his farm he led his presidential candidate front-porch campaign. After he was assassinated the president was brought back to northeast Ohio and buried at the Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland.
