We invite you to familiarize yourself with the code of conduct and common questions for the Missouri Historic Sites.

Code of Conduct


Respect Others 

  • Please be kind and respectful to other visitors at the sites. 
  • Respect missionaries by being attentive as they give tours. 
  • Clean up after yourself, put away interactive activities, and dispose of trash properly. 
  • Respect cars and use sidewalks. 
  • Respect private properties that are not part of the historic sites. 

Respect Buildings

  • Please be respectful of buildings at the site, especially the historic buildings. 
  • Respect gated-off areas and historical artifacts, furniture, and walls in the buildings. 

Respect Landscapes 

  • Stay on designated paths or sidewalks. 
  • Refrain from harming trees, plants, and other landscape features.

Common Questions

Food and drink are not allowed indoors. Baby bottles and water bottles with closable lids are allowed inside the historic homes and visitors’ center.
Trained service animals are allowed wherever a person can go at the historic sites, including in historic buildings.  
Emotional support, comfort, or companion animals are not allowed at the historic sites. 
There is no coat or bag check at the historic sites, although coat racks are available at visitors’ centers.

If you’re coming with a large group, you will need to complete the Group Reservation Request for the Missouri Historic Sites. A missionary will contact you to follow up and finalize your reservation. Filming or recording is not allowed during guided tours and demonstrations.
The Missouri Historic Sites operate in English. Depending on the availability of missionaries at the site, tours in Spanish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language may be available upon request. Please call 1-816-836-3466
