Language Support
FSY holds multiple language options across United States and Canada. There are two types available:
- Language Sessions are sessions held in languages other than English; the language in which the session is held is listed in the session title.
- Language Supported Sessions are sessions held in English with a secondary language being offered in various ways (see below). The secondary language is in the session title.
- Translation for a second language for session-wide activities
- Classes held in the second language
- Young adult staff who speak English and the second language
- Handbook offered in English and the second language
Transportation to these sessions aligns with the transportation assignment indicated on your Stake Assignment page, unless otherwise indicated.

This session will be held in American Sign Language (ASL) and is intended for youth who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. For youth who are deaf or hard-of-hearing that do not know ASL, transcription (CC) is available for session-wide activities. Counselor-led activities will be held in ASL; some counselor groups will be able to use English. This session is available to youth across the United States and Canada. Youth may register for it once On-cycle Open Registration begins (see the Registration Timeline page for details). A transportation allowance may be provided by FSY. A member of the FSY team will connect with those who have registered prior to the start of the session with information regarding this possibility.

There is one French-supported session held during odd years in Canada. This session is available to youth in invited stakes (see the Stake Assignment page to check if your stake is invited) until On-cycle Open Registration begins (see the Registration Timeline page for details), when it will also become available to other youth in Canada.

Spanish-Supported Sessions: There will be Spanish-supported sessions located in different areas across the United States in 2025. Sessions will be available to youth in invited stakes (see the Stake Assignment page to check if your stake is invited) until On-cycle Open Registration begins (see the Registration Timeline page for details), when it will also become available to other youth in the United States.

Spanish Language Session: This session is a pilot and will be held entirely in the Spanish language. It will be available to youth in the Utah Area until On-cycle Open Registration begins (see the Registration Timeline page for details), when it will also become available to other youth in the United States.
