In the scriptures we read that anyone who wants to partake of the gospel is welcome to do so. The Lord’s Church needs all of its members (see 3 Nephi 18:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:12–26).

And we agree! But sometimes we forget that the Lord isn’t there in person to befriend people at church—we have to do that.

As Sister Carol F. McConkie said in this short video: “We need to see [people around us] through Christlike eyes. We cannot allow judgment to dictate the way we interact with people. It’s just simply not right.”

Next time you are at church, look around. Who could use a friendly smile or kind word? It’s up to us to be the Lord’s hands here on earth.
