Life Sculptures

by Katherine Feezor

Dawn breaks

Across the land’s expanse.

The song of a bird

Rises to the air.

Dew drips from trees

And chills my feet.

As I cross the grass

A worm sticks its

Head out of the dirt.

The scent of lilacs

Tickles my nose …

The day begins.
