The Lord’s Supper
August 1988

“The Lord’s Supper,” New Era, Aug. 1988, 27

The Lord’s Supper

by Shawn Dallas Stradley

The bread lies broken,

The water poured.

All is hushed

While emblems are blessed

And we remember.

In like manner

Gave Christ to His disciples

In an upper room.

We partake

And silently recall

The sacrifice made

To free us all.
