Jeremiah–Joel

Reflecting on and assessing our spiritual development helps us become better disciples of Jesus Christ. This lesson can help you reflect on the goals you have set and the growth you have experienced during your study from Jeremiah to Joel.

Review the Scriptures

Ponder the following questions:

  • Who is someone you have tried to imitate? What have you learned from imitating them?

  • What are some ways you try to emulate the Savior?

  • What have you learned in seminary or your personal study that is helping you emulate the Savior?

The rest of this lesson will allow you to review some of what you have learned in seminary. Pause and invite the Holy Ghost to help you recognize how you are learning and growing. Reflect on how you can follow the Savior’s example to become like Him.

Option A

How can I explain prophecies about the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the latter days?

Imagine you are a missionary and you are preparing to teach a lesson about the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. You decide to create a simple lesson plan of what you will teach.

  1. Read the Old Testament doctrinal mastery passages Isaiah 29:13–14, Ezekiel 37:15–17, and Daniel 2:44–45. Review what you may have marked or written in your scriptures or notebook.

  2. Explain one or more of the doctrinal mastery Old Testament scripture passages about the Restoration of the Savior’s gospel.

  3. List two or three reasons why the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is needed on the earth today.

  4. Share your feelings about the Restoration of the Savior’s gospel in the latter days.

How can I feel the truth of my divine mission?

Can you think of any experiences in your life that might show that God knows you and has specific responsibilities for you? If you received your patriarchal blessing, you might look over it for any words or phrases demonstrating this.

How can I participate in the gathering of Israel?

During “Lesson 132: Jeremiah 16,” you made a personal plan for sharing the Savior’s gospel with others. You may have sought inspiration from the Holy Ghost about whom you could share the gospel with.

Read Jeremiah 16:14–16 to help you remember this lesson and your plan.
