Review the Scriptures
Recognizing your spiritual growth can help you in your efforts to become a disciple of Jesus Christ.
Look carefully at these two trees. Consider the differences and similarities.
Imagine that these are pictures of the same tree taken a few years apart from each other.
In your notebook, answer the following questions:
-
How can we compare these images of a tree to our spiritual growth to become more like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ?
-
What are some ways we can recognize how we are growing spiritually and becoming more like Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ?
Sometimes you can see spiritual growth by reviewing what you have learned about God and how your feelings about Him have changed.
Take a few minutes and review your notebook for things you have learned, experienced, or applied to your life from your studies this year. Also look through your notes and annotations in your scriptures. When you are finished, answer the following questions in your notebook:
-
What are you learning in seminary that is helping you grow spiritually and become more like Jesus Christ?
-
What evidence of spiritual growth have you noticed in your life?
Review the following study options. Complete one or more.
Option A

Find in your notebook the image you might have drawn from Lesson 29: “Genesis 24.”
Review the following verses and anything you may have marked in them:
Consider the following scenario:
Today at school, you were talking about future plans with some friends. You mentioned marriage as one of your plans. One of your friends asked: “It seems like you have a lot of potential for a career. Why do you want to get married?”
Using what you have learned about eternal marriage in Heavenly Father’s plan, how would you respond to your friend?
Share with someone you trust how you decided to respond.
Option B
What is the Abrahamic covenant?
In “Lesson 23: Genesis 12; 17” and “Lesson 24: Abraham 2:9–11” you learned about the Abrahamic covenant. Review some of the following scripture passages and your notes from your notebook:
The Lord’s blessings promised to Abraham
The Lord’s blessings promised to me
