As members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, we seek to follow the first and second great commandments—to love God and our neighbor (see Matthew 22:36–40). God’s children are His work and His glory (see Moses 1:39), and to fulfill both great commandments, we seek to care for those in need as the Savior did during His mortal ministry.

The Church extends its efforts to care for those in need through global humanitarian projects, service provided by members and missionaries, welfare and self-reliance resources, and collaborations with other organizations. In 2025, the Church reported:

  • 3514 humanitarian projects.

  • 7.4 million hours volunteered.

  • 196 countries and territories served.

  • $1.58 billion in expenditures.
