To Future Generations

It was not here.

It is not now.

I was not there.

I did not know.

How can I feel

their pain, their grief?

Was this real?

Was there relief?

I see their faces,

read accounts of their horror.

I sense the warnings:

what of tomorrow?

Has our world moved on?

Do we now care for all?

Is there love and compassion,

or do we still build a wall?

We differ in shape and size, colour and creeds,

our talents and hobbies, our houses and needs

but as children of God we are brothers and sisters and must

TEACH PEACE TO FUTURE GENERATIONS

WITH SHOUTS and NOT WHISPERS.
