Your Body Is a Gift!
Physical bodies come in different sizes, shapes, abilities, and colors. Every single body is an amazing gift from God and an important part of His plan!
All bodies deserve respect. Speak kindly about your own and others’ bodies. People might say unkind things about you, but you don’t have to believe them or focus on their words.
Your physical body is the home for your spirit. What you put in your body and your brain matters! We can care for our bodies by eating healthy foods, exercising, and getting enough sleep.
We can care for our spirits by listening to the Holy Ghost, praying, and choosing the right.
Most people have more than 200 bones. Your bones support and protect your body. Your muscles help you move, walk, and run.
The valves in your heart open and shut more than 100,000 times a day. This helps pump blood through your whole body.
Your brain works hard to understand everything you see, hear, and feel. It’s stronger and faster than any computer.
As you get older, your body will grow. Heavenly Father designed your body to keep changing your whole life!
What you do with your body is much more important than what it looks like. Do you use it to treat others and yourself kindly and to follow Jesus Christ?
Don’t compare your body to anyone else’s. Remember, your body is a gift from Heavenly Father!
