Soul of a Poet
February 1971

“Soul of a Poet,” Ensign, Feb. 1971, 14

Soul of a Poet

By Robert E. McGhee

The soul of a poet is a fragile thing,

As fragile as dew on a spider’s string,

Gently knit with glistening beads

Of thoughts from the heart

… and mustard seeds.
