In 2025, the Church continued its commitment to education as a vital tool for lifting individuals and communities. By expanding access to learning opportunities, the Church empowers individuals to improve their temporal well-being and spiritual growth.

2025 Educational Resources

Resources for Church Members

The Church offers a variety of additional educational tools and resources for its members, such as:

  • Perpetual Education Fund (PEF), which offers financial assistance to eligible Church members outside the United States and Canada pursuing education for better jobs and greater self-reliance.
  • BYU–Pathway Worldwide, which helps members access affordable higher education online.
  • Literacy, which connects families—especially those without books at home—with reading materials.
  • The Benson Scholarship, which supports members seeking to obtain post-secondary education in agriculture, food production, and nutrition.
  • EnglishConnect, which offers free English instruction to any who are interested, including people who are not members of the Church.
  • Succeed in School, which helps youth develop skills that improve their education.
Resources Provided Generally

In 2025, the Church also addressed global educational needs through 638 education projects, including funding school renovations, training teachers, and supplying essential educational items like desks, chairs, internet access, and textbooks.

In Papa New Guinea, the Church funded a renovation for a primary school, which included building new classrooms to replace aging and decaying buildings. In Ghana, the Church gave supplies to the University of Environment and Sustainable Development for a new computer lab, which included 60 devices and a large interactive screen for teachers.

EnglishConnect Provides Opportunities

When Pedro moved to the United States, he didn’t know any English. His wife learned about EnglishConnect and encouraged him to sign up to study English with her.

“The process of [learning English] has been quite difficult,” Pedro says. “But through EnglishConnect I have been able to see the opportunity to learn the language from the hand of Jesus Christ, and that has helped me a lot.”

With his new language skills, Pedro is able to communicate more confidently, support his family, and build a new life with faith and purpose.
