On June 21, 2025, a multi-vehicle accident, in this Southern African nation claimed the lives of 15 people, including six young women and four of their leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were traveling to a youth activity. Now, a few months later, the General President who oversees nearly thirty-two thousand congregations of children throughout the world, Susan H. Porter, traveled from Salt Lake City to mourn with those who mourn. She was accompanied by her son, Chris, and J. Anette Dennis of the women’s organization of the Church, and her husband, Jorge.
