Description
“Pope Francis invited the Church to 'believe in a Father who loves all men and women with an infinite love, realizing that ‘he thereby confers upon them an infinite dignity,’” said Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Speaking to scholars and theologians at a Catholic University in Rome. “Those who are truly devoted to the Savior recognize that religion is not just about doing good, but about becoming good,” he continued. Speaking on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, the Apostle quoted extensively from “Dignitas Infinita” (a 2024 declaration on human dignity), “Dignitatis Humanae” (a 1965 treatise from Pope Paul VI on religious freedom) and “Rerum Novarum” (an 1891 message from Pope Leo XIII about the dignity of workers).
