Esther was a Jew who lived in Persia. The Persian king chose her to be queen. Mordecai said the Lord placed Esther in the king’s palace to protect the Jews. Esther’s courage saved her people.

Job loved the Lord. He had 10 children and great wealth. The Lord allowed Job’s faith to be tried. Job lost everything, but he didn’t blame the Lord. He was blessed with more children and much wealth.

The love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ is the antidote for every negative aspect of our lives. Because of Him, we can overcome sadness, despair, anxiety, hatred – and someday, even death.
