Whitmer Farm will be opening late on Sunday, September 21. The site will not open until 3:00 PM.
The Whitmer Farm Visitors’ Center teaches about the organization of the Church and other events that occurred at the farm through interactive exhibits and video presentations. Visitors begin their tour of the Whitmer Farm by meeting missionaries in the here.

The Visitors’ Center includes photos, artwork, films, and interactive displays that talk about the translation of the Book of Mormon and the founding and growth of the Church. There are also interactive areas available for children.


What to Expect


The Whitmer Farm Visitors’ Center is a self-guided experience. Guided tours of the rest of the farm begin here.

The visitors’ center shares a building with the local meetinghouse. A cultural hall is reservable through the local ward. Contact information can be obtained from the missionaries in the Visitors’ Center.
