The Church’s five historic sites in this region are within 140 miles (225 km) of each other. Three of the sites—the Smith Family Farm and Sacred Grove, the Hill Cumorah, and the Book of Mormon Historic Publication Site—are within a few minutes of each other in and around the town of Palmyra. The sites are open year-round; however, the sites are occasionally closed for special events or due to inclement weather. To verify the operating hours of all historic sites, please see the individual location pages.
