Coordinating Council FSY Representative
This role is a year-round commitment that involves working closely with the BYU administrator assigned to the area to disseminate information and providing support to stakes and wards. The nature of the support varies from month to month as you serve as a resource to assist the stakes. The role involves supporting stakes in their pre- and post-FSY activities and ensuring these activities happen.
Additionally, the BYU administrator will send timely information monthly, including details about registration phases and specialty sessions such as ASL, Virtual, and Language. These communications should be distributed throughout the stakes to relevant recipients.

Timeline of Responsibilities
April Year Before: Enter School Dates & Plan Pre-FSY Activity
- Encourage stake Young Women presidents to enter school end and start dates for stakes attending FSY for the following year.
April: Plan Pre-FSY Activity
- Assist stake leaders in planning and executing a stake pre-FSY activity to build enthusiasm.
September: Remind Bishops to Approve Youth
- Remind on-cycle bishops to approve their youth for preregistration.
October–May: Support On-Cycle Registration
- Help by troubleshooting log-in issues, get youth preregistered/registered, review youth unit reports, and reach out to stakes with low registration percentages.
March–May: Registration Reminder
- Remind off-cycle stakes to register for FSY.
Following FSY: Plan Post-FSY Activity
- Assist stake leaders in planning and executing a stake post-FSY activity.
Who Do I Work With?
Stake FSY Representatives
- Guide representatives in supporting their assigned stakes. Work to resolve any challenges they’re facing with registration, building unity, and increasing enthusiasm among youth, parents, and leaders.
Stake Presidency
- Work in tandem to support the stake FSY representatives and stake Young Women and Young Men presidencies. Suggest and offer help when needed, but mainly be a person of accountability for FSY efforts.
Stake Young Women & Stake Young Men Presidents
- Look to support them in all endeavors pertaining to FSY. These leaders own the effort but may delegate certain aspects of the load.
BYU Administrator
- Directions will be given by the BYU administrator monthly on timely information. Please take this into consideration, disperse to necessary leaders, and act as soon as possible on the guidance given.
Area Seventy
- Area Seventy are responsible for calling and releasing CC FSY representatives. Turn to them when in need of specific instructions pertaining to stake support. They are to advise and assist if FSY-related situations escalate. They may also delegate responsibilities. Follow through on and execute those promptly.
